Les régates officielles se dérouleront du mercredi au vendredi, au large des plages Saint-François et du Trottel. La voile jeunesse prendra ses quartiers dans le golfe d’Ajaccio à la fin du mois. Organisée par la Société Nautique d’Ajaccio (SNA), l’étape ajaccienne de l’O’pen Skiff Tour réunira une soixantaine de jeunes régatiers venus de Corse et du continent. Cette deuxième épreuve de la saison 2026-2027 comptera pour le classement national de la discipline. Elle n’est toutefois pas qualificative : les participants n’ont pas besoin d’avoir obtenu une sélection pour prendre le départ. « Il faut quand même justifier d’un peu d’expérience en régate et avoir un niveau technique minimum », précise Christophe Dumoulin, chef de base à la SNA. Les concurrents navigueront en O’pen Skiff, un petit dériveur moderne en solitaire, rapide et « très bas sur l’eau », qui offre, selon lui, « de belles sensations de glisse ».   La flotte devrait réunir les meilleurs régatiers de la catégorie. Entre 25 et 30 jeunes viendront des clubs corses ; les autres feront le déplacement depuis différentes régions du continent, notamment les Hauts-de-France, la Normandie, la Bretagne, la Nouvelle-Aquitaine, la région niçoise et l’Île-de-France. En amont de l’épreuve, plusieurs journées d’entraînement sont prévues, en particulier pour permettre aux jeunes insulaires de préparer leur participation.   Trois jours de régates officielles Le rendez-vous débutera mardi 27 octobre avec une journée de « warm-up » : confirmation des inscriptions à partir de 9 heures, entraînements dès 11 heures, puis courses préparatoires à 13 h 30.
